Valencia CF and the VCF Academy in Houston (Katy, Texas) have extended their collaboration agreement, which goes back to February of 2020. The date chosen for the renewal was May 31st, which since 2012 has been 'Valencia CF Day' in Houston.
The North American academy has more than 150 players training, as well as competing in categories ranging from Under-7s to Under-17s in the Texas Youth Super League. Of note is the Under-14s victory in the Puma Cup, as well as a strong showing in the first edition of the VCF Academy World Cup -in which they will again participate this summer.
"We are very happy with the level and commitment of our players. They are always demonstrating the values of Valencia CF and working on their development to become elite players, with exemplary behaviour, intelligence, energy and football skill," says Mauricio Mata, head of the VCF Academy in Houston.
“It is a source of pride to continue being the ambassadors of a club like Valencia CF in Houston,” added fellow head of the academy, Karla Uresty.
This renewal agreement is yet another example of Valencia CF's commitment to football in North America. During this season, numerous campuses have been held in Phoenix, Los Angeles and Michigan, in addition to upcoming summer campuses planned in many American cities. The club methodology is also transmitted at VCF Academies in Seattle and New York.
